Environment Is key™

Let us...

• Assist our urban American city's socio-economically challenged, marginalized,  disenfranchised, disempowered, disengaged and, in some instances, (otherwise) 'disconnected', inner-core i.e. "inner-city", neighborhood residents...and their children. Why? Because what is needed, is for our Community to become better-positioned to fully participate in the unfolding, long-awaited renaissance currently spreading throughout the United States' urban municipality landscape. Now that City of Buffalo has attained that status, in earnest, this is a mandate we (absolutely) must  further.  Such (a) dramatic turnaround is a shift that is intent upon rebound, recovery,  (re)development, and rescue. Whatever anyone might wish to label it, (but please do not label it "resilience"), "what" was necessary, and is indeed occurring, is : visionary Leadership. Please proceed and receive this next point, right here:

• Understand that our global community's Youths, are amazing Individuals. What they'e lacked, foremost, has included: Youth Opportunity!™

• Acknowledge that the Buffalo Renaissance is real. It truly is. Improvement has not only been possible, it is occurring right now. We demanded it, and now it is happening. What is needed, at this point, is for "we" to harness it, so that we are not locked-out of its Developments, or its Opportunities. Renowned French Romantic author, Victor Hugo, more than adequately describes "us". For "we" are French History's counterpart: wronged humanity. In Les Misérables, Hugo is their defender. Our generation's young princes and princesses must be prepared to be (our own) Heroes, and Heroines. If only (many) more of "we" did such, today. If, in the (arguable) afterglow of Black Lives Matter, we would be about the Matter of Black Lives, might we lead the charge to our longed for drastic adjustment, our great pivot? 

• Labour, together,  to discontinue American Society's woeful but reversible: Pattern of Omission. Or, will we persist to tolerate, and thereby perpetuate, our (own) version of Failure of the Duty to Act? If we choose the former course, USA Regions' most "historically disadvantaged" Minority Residents, will be ushered toward their being (purposely, deliberately) included. Truth is, our Community needs these households, and we need they to partake of a 'seat at the table', and we (desperately) need they  (to) 'eat'. It.is.time.for.that. Aren't you ready, for that? CAC is! The Realm of Opportunity  beckons, and the stakes is [sic] high, indeed! So. What are we waiting for? Let's go get 'em. Together."

The 'revolution' that no fewer than two (2) generations of East Side, inner-core, i.e. "inner-city", East Buffalo Neighborhood Individuals have been hoping, wishing, dreaming, praying, sojourning, laboring, volunteering/working, and (even) battling 'for', is upon us, it is here. It is happening, and right now. Finally! It is not 'on the way', nor is it 'coming soon'. It is already occurring, as in very quite literally: now. Therefore, now is not the time to fail to put any and all manner of recklessness, foolishness, laziness (or whatever it is preferred to be labeled, these days), away. We must needs thoroughly quench each and every propensity inclined toward cultivation of strife, disunity, confusion, bitterness, wrong resentment, envy, dysfunction, disunity and/or chaos. What we've done has always mattered, but, it especially does, in this hour, and moving forward. It's time "we" step up, level-up, and get busy. Let us not hope to 'sleep through this "great revolution'". For, as one of this nation's most revered Human and Civil Rights Champions pronounced, some 60-odd years ago, and in his (unequivocal) manner:    

".....the great question facing us today, is whether we will remain awake through this worldshaking revolution, and achieve the new mental attitudes which the situations and conditions demand. There would be nothing more tragic during this period, than to allow our mental and moral attitudes to sleep, while this tremendous social change takes place. May I suggest a few of the changed responses that we must make in order to remain awake during this great revolution.....An understanding of man's present predicament may be found in the distinction between civilization, and culture. Civilization refers to the things we use; culture, to what we are.....In this new age that is emerging, we will be forced to compete with people of all races and nationalities.....We must broaden our interest to include fields we have not pursued in the past.  We must produce more scientists and engineers.....".
