Note: If you do not have a Facebook Account, here is a lovely poem. It speaks as concerning Heroes, and is located on CAC's Facebook Page, here.
𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐎𝐄𝐒™ | 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐮𝐦 𝐨𝐟 𝐁𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐇𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲, 𝐀𝐫𝐭𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞™

"𝐋𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐧: 𝐎𝐧𝐞" | 𝐅𝐫𝐨𝐦: "𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐎𝐟 𝐋𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐬"
Here you will see
Many person of note
Notwithstanding trial(s)
Persist to bestow
Lessons
In "who" we 'are'
In "why" we 'be'
The example, great
The principle, free(ing)
Due to these, stand
Tho' knowing, or no
Walk not in their stead
But as they, simply "go"
Still rise, for to run
Life's trail for to tread
In lock-step, vail
Ever Forward, as: head
There are Nine (9) Fruit of The Holy Spirit
So well, and as long, as the night is far spent
And day, turning morn, light on norms we would rent
In deed, of our person(s),
We've yet "more", than spent
By creed, aim, belief,
By God's Heaven Sent
Lesson.

CAC salutes the heroic journey of The Buffalo 5's Mr. John Walker. Now a proponent of Ending NYS Wrongful Convictions, he survived 'serving' over 22 years of 'somebody' else's prison sentence, yet emerged an outstanding spokesman for his Cause(s). It's been said that what one refuses to allow to destroy one, can lend toward one becoming stronger. Insisting and persisting until one surmounts (even) Wrongful: Profiling, Arrest (at only 16 Years of Age), Trial, Conviction, Imprisonment, Parole, and Stigma, and related Suffering(s); plus, a 40+ years long (ongoing) struggle to "get (truly) free", is a different variety, and level, of Tenacity.
CAC salutes the heroic determination of The Buffalo 5's Mr. Darryl Boyd. He is a NYS Wrongful Conviction Survivor, after 'served' 27.5 years of incarceration he did nothing to earn. He is, too, a determined Advocate for Youth Opportunity, as well as (an) invaluable partner in the Effort to ensure The Buffalo 5's experience of a dysfunctional, dishonorable, racial animus-riddled, Wrongful Conviction-oriented, unjust Criminal Justice System override of the Rights of Buffalo Niagara Region's Black and African American Community Residents, is not tolerated by "we", The People, of this present generation.
CAC salutes the heroic determination of The Buffalo 5's Mr. Tyrone Woodruff. He is an Adult Survivor of a (still) recurring trauma confronted by far too many Black and Brown youths, in these United States: Racial Profiling, Wrongful Detainment, Coercion, Intimidation, Harassment, Psychological and Emotional Abuse, Threats (including: Additional Charge(s) and/or of an extended Jail/Prison Sentence; and, outright Physical Deprivation, (all) inflicted by unscrupulous Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice System Authority: Personnel. When youths are forced into (false) 'confessions', they aren't the only Individual(s) who "lose(s)", so too, do "we", The People.
